Argan Oil Cold Pressed Organic: What is Argan Oil? Argan is a unique tree that grows only in southwestern Morocco (south and east of Agadir). The tree is 3-4 meters high with thorny branches. It takes up to a year for the fruit of the tree to mature. This fruit is then yellow and hard, and consists mostly of three seeds, which carry the oil. It takes 100 kg of fruit to produce two to three liters of oil, so it has a high price. The fruit is picked by hand and dried in the sun. The pulp is then removed, and the seeds can be separated. The oil is still produced in this traditional way: the seeds are roasted, crushed and ground into flour between stone mills. The flour is mixed with water to a paste. 
 Vegetable argan oil has traditionally been used in Morocco as a sunscreen as well as hair and face oil for eczema and other rashes. Argan oil is a semi-fatty oil with a high content of vitamin E, carotene, triterpenes and phytosterols is rich in vitamin E, carotene and plant sterols. It makes the skin soft and supple. It is known as a fantastic hair oil! Argan oil protects, nourishes and strengthens the hair. Can be used as a hair wrap or just massaged into the scalp and pulled out in the lengths before hair washing. When wrapping, leave on for 15-30 minutes.
