Kelp is a brown alga which is a natural source of the trace element of iodine. Our kelp is wild-caught from Canada. 
 Iodine contributes, among other things, to normal production of thyroid hormones and to normal thyroid function. 
 Iodine also contributes to normal energy conversion, to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to maintaining normal skin. 
 Each tablet contains 225 mcg iodine from kelp.
