Since UVB is filtered into the atmosphere when the sun is low, we can only produce vitamin D during our summer months in our latitudes.
The greater the exposed skin surface, the more vitamin D is formed. After about 30 minutes in strong sun, about 10,000 IU is achieved. Then no further production takes place in the skin.
During the winter season, we cannot make any vitamin D in the skin in the Nordic countries at all.
Vitamin D has a role in the cell division process and contributes to:

  • to maintain normal bone structure
  • maintain normal muscle function
  • maintain normal teeth
  • normal uptake / utilization of calcium and phosphorus
  • normal calcium levels in the blood

1–4 drops (500–2000 IU) per day in a glass of water or as recommended. Shake before use.
Vitamin D intake may increase the need for extra magnesium.
Dosage children
1-2 drops (500-1,000 IU) per day. If the child is breastfeeding and the mother consumes 4,000 IU per day or more, the child's dose can be reduced to 1 drop per day or every other day.
The recommended dose should not be exceeded. Supplements should not be used as an alternative to a varied diet.
