Cocoa beans are kernels from "Theobroma cacao", a small green tree that grows in tropical climates. Cocoa is best known for being the base in the chocolate industry, but it is a useful source of power in its own way. The cocoa bean is rich in antioxidants and also contains different kinds of amino acids as well as different minerals such as magnesium. Cocoa is, as I said, extremely rich in antioxidants, even more than the Acai berries. Production Rawpowder Cocoa is organically produced by farmers in Peru. The large chocolate fruit is split in half and then fermented. It is the pulp that surrounds the beans that are fermented and eventually drain away as liquid. This process reduces some of the bitterness of the bean. After that, the beans are thoroughly washed and then dried. The dry beans are peeled and their kernels are kneaded into small pieces which are then packed and distributed. Store in a cool, dark, dry place. This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
